In an effort to achieve 100% voter turnout in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the District Panchayat CEO under the guidance of Collector and District Election Officer Shri Sanjay Agrawal organized a sveep voter awareness and appreciation event in Dongargarh, aimed at educating rural voters about the importance of voting.
The CEO of the District Panchayat, Ms. Suruchi Singh, along with nodal officers, kickstarted the electoral fervor amidst Holi celebrations, emphasizing the significance of voting through slogans and election-themed festivities. Addressing the officials, Ms. Singh stressed the need to raise awareness among voters to achieve the goal of 100% voter turnout.
Under the sveep voter awareness program, scheduled from March 3rd to April 9th, sveep awareness meetings will be held in all gram panchayats. Officials were directed to educate rural communities about the importance of voting in democracy and administer voter pledges. Additionally, they were instructed to form voter awareness groups to inspire and motivate voters.
Furthermore, various activities such as rallies, wall painting, street plays, rangoli competitions, painting exhibitions, torch marches, and candle marches will be organized in gram panchayats to instill determination and inspiration among rural voters to cast their votes.
The event was attended by SDM Dongargarh Shri Manoj Kumar Markam, CEO District Panchayat Dongargarh Shri Navin Kumar, ABO Dongargarh Ms. Rashmi Thakur, APO Shri Bhagwati Sahu, Shri Horilal, Shri Devendra Goswami, Contracting Officer Shri Veerendra Tiwari, Shri OP Jain, and Cluster Coordinator Kokpur Shri Rahul Jain, along with the secretary.
