In a bid to promote voter awareness and participation in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024, various activities are being organized under the Voter Awareness Program in the Kanker and Durgkondal Development Blocks of North Bastar Kanker district. Led by the Collector and District Election Officer, Mr. Abhijeet Singh, and the Sweep Nodal Officer, Mr. Sumit Agrawal, the initiative aims to educate citizens about the importance of voting.

Sweep Sahelis, comprising Anganwadi workers, helpers, ASHA workers, and self-help group members, are playing a pivotal role in spreading awareness among voters. Through rallies and rangoli (traditional art) in villages, they are effectively communicating the message of voting to every household.

With slogans like “Let’s Go to the Polling Booth” echoing through the villages, Sveep Sahelis are motivating all voters to exercise their franchise by casting their votes at the polling centers on election day. Their efforts are crucial in ensuring maximum voter turnout and strengthening the democratic process.

This proactive approach towards voter education and mobilization reflects the commitment of the local administration to uphold the democratic principles and encourage citizen participation in the electoral process.
