In a significant development for the Lok Sabha general elections 2024, Dr. Abhijeet Singh, the Collector and District Election Officer, oversaw the opening of the EVM (Electronic Voting Machine) warehouses at the Government Polytechnic College, Nathiyanvaganv, after the completion of the first phase of EVM randomization. The event was attended by representatives from various political parties.

Following the opening of the warehouses, the EVMs were subjected to further randomization, separating the VVPAT (Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail), control unit, and ballot unit for each assembly constituency. This process, slated to continue until March 29th, ensures the integrity and fairness of the electoral process.

Notably, a total of 271 control units and ballot units, along with 346 VVPATs, were allocated for the Antagarh constituency, 327 control units and ballot units, along with 417 VVPATs, for the Bhanupratappur constituency, and 295 control units and ballot units, along with 376 VVPATs, for the Kanker constituency.

Present at the occasion were Ms. Astha Borakar, the nodal officer for EVMs, along with representatives from various political parties.

This meticulous process underscores the commitment of the electoral authorities to ensuring transparency and fairness in the electoral process.
