Vinod Tawde to be BJP's Kerala poll in-charge

In his first appointments after taking over as BJP president, Nitin Nabin on Tuesday named Vinod Tawde as party in-charge for Kerala assembly polls and Union minister Shobha Karandlaje as co-incharge. Tawde will also be election observer for Chandigarh mayoral poll. Ashish Shelar, a minister in Maharashtra govt, is in-charge of Telangana municipal and corporation elections, and ex-Rajasthan BJP chief Ashok Parnami and RS MP Rekha Sharma will be his deputies. Ram Madhav will be party in-charge for Greater Bengaluru corporation polls and assisted by ex-Rajasthan BJP chief Satish Poonia and Maharashtra MLA Sanjay Upadhyay.
