The news of her demise was announced by Childhelp, a non-profit organisation that she had founded with her co-star and close friend, actress Sara O’Meara. The official statement from O’Meara read, “Yvonne was my dearest friend and my partner in this mission for more than six decades. Her compassion, strength, and belief in the power of love shaped Childhelp from its earliest days. I will forever be grateful for the life we built together in service to children.”Lime and O’Meara had become close friends after they co-starred on ‘The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet.’

Lime was born in Glendale, California, on April 7, 1935. After completing her early years of education in her hometown, she joined the Pasadena Playhouse, an award-winning performing arts venue, where her performance of ‘Ah, Wilderness!’ caught the attention of an agent who landed her roles in TV shows, ads, and songs opposite renowned stars.In 1957, she landed the role of a lifetime at the time and starred opposite Elvis Presley in the film ‘Loving You.’ Her debut in films came in 1956 when she starred in ‘The Rainmaker’ opposite Audrey Hepburn and Burt Lancaster.She portrayed the role of Snookie Maguire in the film. From 1956 to 1969, she regularly worked in TV shows and movies; however, after marrying TV producer Don Fedderson, she completely retired from acting.She later got involved in her husband’s business, and became one of the higher executives handling shows under his production company, which included the famous ‘My Three Sons.’
