In a candid revelation, a popular journalist, Pooja Samant, has shed light on the intensely emotional period following Katrina Kaif‘s split from actor Ranbir Kapoor. Samant recounted meeting the ‘Merry Christmas’ actor after the breakup, describing Katrina as “crying like anything” and overwhelmed with self-blame for professional decisions made during the relationship. Speaking in a recent interview on Zahra Jani’s YouTube channel, Pooja Samant shared that Katrina was “crying like anything” when she met her after the split. According to her, Katrina was overwhelmed with emotion and repeatedly blamed herself for the impact the relationship had on her professional decisions. “She was saying I have made a mistake, and I am responsible for my loss of work,” Pooja recalled.

The actress reportedly confessed that she fell deeply in love, and when the relationship ended, she felt both personally and professionally shattered.

Pooja Samant revealed that Katrina regretfully admitted to turning down several film offers while dating Ranbir because she believed marriage was on the cards. The journalist further explained, “She was crying and telling us that she fell in love with him and then things didn’t work out… But because of him, I ruined my career.”According to Pooja, Katrina might have assumed that joining the Kapoor family would mean a reduced workload, as the perception back then was that daughters-in-law were seldom allowed to continue working in films. She reportedly let go of major projects in anticipation of a secure future. When the relationship did not end in marriage, it left her deeply disappointed and anxious about her standing in Bollywood.

Years later, Katrina Kaif has built a happier and more secure personal life. The actress married Vicky Kaushal in December 2021 in an intimate yet widely celebrated wedding ceremony. The couple recently welcomed their first child on November 7 this year. Sharing their joy with fans, they announced, “Our bundle of joy has arrived.
