Kangana Ranaut reacts to Badri-Kedarnath temples asking for affidavit from Sara Ali Khan: 'Satya likhne mein kya ghabrahat'

Sara Ali Khan has been in the news after the Badri-Kedar Temple Committee announced a new requirement, which was reported on Tuesday. On March 17, the committee’s chairman stated that non-Hindus must submit an affidavit if they wish to offer prayers at Badrinath Temple and Kedarnath Temple. While this has started a discussion, MP and actor Kangana Ranaut has also reacted to it and shared her views on this decision. While speaking to the media outside Parliament, she said, according to ANI, “Satya likhne mein kya ghabrahat.” Elaborating further, Kangana said, “Sab sanatani hai. Yahan pe jo bhi hai, sab sanatani hai. Sanatan matlab jiska na aadi hai na anth. Saare religions 1000–1500 saal purane hain. Woh bhi sanatani hi hain. Ab unko satya likhne mein kya ghabrahat. Likh dijiye.”Meanwhile, Sara has often spoken about her spiritual visits, particularly to Kedarnath. Her first film was also was called ‘Kedarnath’. Recalling one such trip with Janhvi Kapoor, she shared a nerve-wracking experience: “We decided to go to Bhairavnath, and there was a normal path for walking. But we thought ourselves to be better. We chose to hike instead. There was an 85-degree incline of just rocks, and Janhvi Kapoor was like, ‘Let us just climb this.’”She admitted that she went along with the plan despite her fears, worried about being labelled a “buzzkill.” “Admitting that fear kicked in,” she said, she was convinced they might fall due to the unstable terrain. The situation escalated until, after nearly 30 minutes of being stranded, her driver located them and they were eventually rescued with the help of special forces.Over the years, Sara has frequently documented her visits to Kedarnath on social media, sharing serene visuals of the shrine nestled in snow-covered mountains, along with glimpses of her taking part in rituals. Her repeated trips have made the temple a significant and recurring part of her life beyond the big screen.
