According to the latest reports, Midhun Manuel Thomas’ directorial continues its theatrical run with a steady performance at the box office. The film has now crossed the Rs 100 crore mark globally.
Crosses Rs 100 crore worldwide
Reports from the Sacnilk website says that the worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 104.43 crore.According to the same portal, the India net collection stands at Rs 40.45 crore. The India gross has reached Rs 46.78 crore. Overseas collections have contributed a massive Rs 57.65 crore.
Week 2 shows steady trend
‘Aadu 3’ entered its second week with a visible drop in collections. However, it has managed to maintain a steady pace. On Day 8, the film collected Rs 1.60 crore. Day 9 added Rs 1.45 crore. On Day 10, the film saw a jump with Rs 2.37 crore.Earlier, during the end of week one, Day 6 brought Rs 2.59 crore. Day 7 added Rs 2.03 crore. The first week closed at Rs 35.03 crore.The second Saturday spike indicates weekend support which is mainly from the family audiences.
Vijay Babu about film’s budget
Producer Vijay Babu recently opened up about the film’s finances. As reported by On Manorama, he revealed that the budget was closely aligned with the opening weekend performance.Vijay Babu stated in a press meet that nearly 70 percent of the total budget was recovered during the opening weekend. This gave the team confidence in the film’s theatrical run.Speaking about the response, he shared the importance of early audience support and he also noted that the film earned over Rs 2 crore in gross collections during that period.The producer also acknowledged the risks involved in the project. He credited the audience for helping the film maintain a steady performance.Vijay Babu also spoke about external factors that influenced the film’s release. He shared how certain global situations played a role in decision-making.The producer said, “What really gave me confidence was the trust Venu had in the project. He understood the situation in the UAE during the US-Israel-Iran conflict and assured me that the government would stand by its people. That reassurance played a key role in our decision to release the film.”
Story and genre blend
The plot of ‘Aadu 3’ revolves around a mystical Star Dust stone. It introduces themes of power and reincarnation. The narrative shifts between present-day events and a 1750s storyline.In the past timeline, characters appear as historical counterparts. Shaji Pappan is seen as Padmanabha Thamburan, a local king. The movie ends on a cliffhanger and hints at more interesting factors incoming in the second part.
