Ranbir Kapoor was back in Mumbai city on Wednesday after a two-day trip to Los Angeles and New York to debut the ‘Ramayana‘ first glimpse titled ‘Rama‘. On his return home, the actor found himself back on the road, ready to begin the Indian leg of promotions. The actor joined director Nitesh Tiwari for a special screening of the clip, hosted by producer Namit Malhotra at his residence. The event, was attended by select guests and offered an early preview of the much-anticipated teaser, which Indian fans will have to wait until later today, April 2, to watch the clip on their screens.

‘Rama’ first glimpse early reactions

For the screening, RK was seen keeping his look casual in a denim jacket, tack pants and a white tee. The actor arrived for the event alone, although wife Alia Bhatt, lent her support to the film and revealed that she would release the clip on her official social media handle. Praising the teaser, she said that the clip was “Out of this world.”Early reactions from attendees praised the visual treatment and presentation of the iconic character. “The way the character of Rama was introduced was very amazing — it really seemed like a visual wonder,” one viewer said.Another guest highlighted the film’s contemporary appeal, noting, “It seemed like the Ramayana was made very well with modern technology, so that it could be understood by today’s generation.”

Today’s teaser launch will mark the first time that fans get a full look at Ranbir’s look as Lord Rama, after frist featuring in a teaser video last year.

The film also stars Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. ‘Ramayana’ is one of the most-awaited films of 2026 and is set to hit the big screens on Diwali 2026.
