Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’ has etched its name in Indian box office history, emerging as the first Bollywood film ever to surpass a net collection of Rs 1,000 crore across all versions. With this feat, it now stands alongside Pushpa 2 and Baahubali 2 as the third Indian film to reach this prestigious benchmark.The spy action entertainer has enjoyed an exceptional run at the ticket counters since day one, maintaining remarkable momentum even without the advantage of major holiday periods. It touched the Rs 1,000 crore net mark on its 18th day. Notably, the film has already gone past Rs 900 crore net in Hindi alone, setting a new record as the first film in the language to achieve such a milestone.By day 18, Sunday evening, the film has now reached Rs 1,011.02 crore net in India according to Sacnilk. Meanwhile, the worldwide gross of the film is now Rs 1600 crore plus, despite the ban in the middle east. ‘Dhurandhar 2’ completed its second week with Rs 263.65 crore in India and entered its third weekend with a bang. It saw some growth on third Friday which is day 16 and made Rs 21.55 crore. On Saturday, day 17, it minted Rs 25.65 crore and now on Sunday, day 18, the film has made Rs 26 crore till 9pm. Overseas too, Dhurandhar 2 has emerged as a massive box office force. The film collected upwards of USD 22 million in its opening weekend across international markets and went on to cross the USD 30 million mark in its second week.On Saturday, Dhurandhar 2 witnessed a sharp surge overseas, registering a 100% jump with collections exceeding USD 1 million, compared to a little over USD 500K on Friday. With this boost, its total international gross now stands at more than USD 41.5 million. The film has also set new benchmarks in several global territories, including North America, where it surpassed the 9-year-old record held by Baahubali 2, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film in the region.
