NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday extended warm greetings to party workers on the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Foundation Day, lauding their dedication and reaffirming the party’s commitment to development and public welfare.In a post on X, PM Modi said the party has consistently upheld the principle of “India First” and remains at the forefront of serving society. He praised BJP workers for their selfless service, grassroots outreach, and commitment to good governance, while remembering those whose sacrifice and perseverance contributed to the party’s growth.“Warm greetings to all BJP Karyakartas across the nation on the party’s Sthapana Diwas. He said the party’s journey reflects a commitment to service, values, and nation-building.Founded in 1980 after splitting from the Janata Party, the BJP traces its origins to the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, established in 1951 by Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. Over the decades, it has emerged as one of India’s प्रमुख national parties, centred on nationalism and development.
