Telugu films ‘Biker’ and ‘Raakaasa’ hit theatres together and started a close box office battle. According to Sacnilk, on Day 6 (first Wednesday), ‘Biker’ collected Rs 1.05 Cr net from 1,617 shows across India. The film had earlier earned Rs 1.11 Cr on Day 4 (Monday) and Rs 1.09 Cr on Day 5 (Tuesday), showing a steady hold during weekdays. With the latest numbers, the film’s total India net collection has reached Rs 10.66 Cr, while the India gross stands at Rs 12.38 Cr so far. Overseas markets have added Rs 2.50 Cr, taking the film’s worldwide gross total to Rs 14.88 Cr after six days.
‘Raakaasa’ leads the worldwide total
Meanwhile, Raakaasa saw a small dip on Day 6 and collected Rs 0.85 Cr net across India. Earlier, the film had earned Rs 1.12 Cr on Day 4 (Monday) and Rs 1.06 Cr on Day 5 (Tuesday) before slowing down midweek. Despite the drop, the film’s total India net collection has reached Rs 11.03 Cr, while the India gross stands at Rs 12.71 Cr. Overseas collections remain stronger with Rs 3.30 Cr, pushing the film’s worldwide gross total to Rs 16.01 Cr, which keeps it ahead of ‘Biker’ in the global race.
‘Raakaasa’ vs ‘Biker’
‘Raakaasa’ has gained decent reviews for its entertaining mix of comedy, fantasy, and suspense. With Sangeeth Sobhan in the lead role, the film also features Nayan Sarika, Tanikella Bharani, Brahmaji, and Ashish Vidyarthi in important roles.On the other hand, ‘Biker’ stars Sharwanand in the lead role.
