K-Pop superstars BTS are gearing up for their much-anticipated ARIRANG world tour that will kick off in South Korean today, April 9. Ahead of the big day, the boys, who were in the US over the past month, promoted their new music across various chat shows. BTS on early career strugglesDuring one such appearance on the popular YouTube show Hot Ones, the group opened up about their early career struggles, particularly while recording their 2014 track ‘Danger’ from the album ‘Dark & Wild’. When asked about heading to LA to record the tack in a garage, leader RM candidly said, “We were really in danger at that time.”RM and Jin talk about overcoming ‘danger’ early in their careersIn the promotional clip, fellow band member Jin adds to RM’s remarks, and opened up about facing their hardships together as a band. He shared, “But because we experienced that danger back then, when things get tough, we remember overcoming true adversity.”The album, which marked a significant turning point in BTS’ musical journey, was partly recorded in a modest garage studio in Los Angeles. The space reportedly belonged to an acquaintance of Bang Si Hyuk, founder of their agency. At the time, the group was also filming their reality show ‘American Hustle Life’, balancing schedules with limited resources and recording their songs and learning the lyrics on the go. About ‘Dark and Wild’‘Dark & Wild’ was BTS’ first full-length studio album. The boys are now on their fifth studio album, without taking into account their personal ventures. BTS now commands sold-out stadiums worldwide.BTS to kick off ‘ARIRANG’ tourThe ‘ARIRANG’ world tour, kicks off at the Goyang Stadium, South Korea, with shows scheduled for April 9, 11, and 12. This will be followed by shows in Tokyo, Tampa, before the Latin American leg begining in May followed by the US leg with shows in Stanford, Las Vegas, before heading to Busan and Madrid in June, Brussels, London, Munich and Paris in July before fyling back to the US and Canada in August with stops in Bogotá, Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires, and São Paulo in a packed October schedule. The band will then begin the Asia leg of the tour with shows in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore, before heading to Australia in February and wrap up their tour in March with their final shows scheduled in Manila.
