Selena Gomez recently shared a photo on social media that has sent fans reeling. In the photo that was uploaded to the stories section of Instagram, Gomez held onto a newborn baby, smiling at them and playing with them. She posted the photo on her account along with the caption “one day…,” which left many fans buzzing with excitement. Over the years, Gomez has actively shared her desire to be a mother.Last year in October, celebrating her return to “Wizards of Waverly Place,” the singer posted, “Alex Russo is a mommy. Hopefully one day that’ll be me.” Last year she also appeared on Jay Shetty’s podcast to talk about her life and how everything has been. During the podcast episode, she expressed her desire to start a family soon with Blanco and noted that both singers look forward to it. She added at the time, “I don’t know what will happen, obviously, but I love children. I love making [children] laugh; they’re just so sweet. So absolutely, when that day comes, I’m so excited for it.”Blanco had also added on about how Gomez likes to disappear into the crowd; however, she is extremely great when it comes to children. He had shared, “Whenever there are kids at a place, it’s the only time I see her do that. She immediately goes to the kids and has these conversations for hours with the kids.”In another old interview with Time, Gomez had even shared how if she did not have anyone in her life by the time she turned 35, she would happily look into adoption to start her family. She shared, “I was alone for five years, and I got really used to it. A lot of people are afraid of being alone, and I probably tortured myself in my head for, like, two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it.”‘Only Murders In The Building’ star also added that the idea naturally became a part of her plan. She added, “Then I came up with my plan, which was I was going to adopt at 35 if I had not met anyone. It just happens when you least expect it.”Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco officially started dating around June 2023; however, they only made their relationship public in December 2023. The two announced their engagement exactly a year later, on December 11, 2024, and tied the knot last September.
