Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, known for blockbusters like ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ and ‘Krrish’, recently opened the doors to his sprawling resort-style bungalow in Khandala, reportedly valued at Rs 120 crore (as per August 2025 reports). Giving a tour on Farah Khan‘s YouTube channel, the veteran producer reflected on his humble beginnings, saying, “I was born in a garage, so I always wanted to make a big house.”
A hilltop escape with views of Rajmachi hills
Spread across 22,400 sq. ft. on a five-acre plot, the property sits atop a hill surrounded by dense greenery, offering sweeping views of the Rajmachi Hills. The home was designed by architect Grigoria Oikonomou of Sibha Grigoria Private Limited, as per a 2021 report by Elle Decor India. Painted in white with an expansive garden, the mansion left Farah Khan comparing it to a personal resort and even a stadium.Reacting to the scale of the property, Farah Khan admitted, “Guys, this place is so huge, I’ll get lost,” before adding, “This is not even a home; this is a hotel.” Walking through the lawn area, she came across a tranquil pool and a boat-shaped wooden swing. The size of the pool alone prompted her to joke, “An Olympic race must happen here!”

Inside the living spacesThe living room is done up with mustard and grey sofas centred around a round coffee table, complemented by pendant lighting overhead. A minimal TV unit sits along one wall, while large glass doors open onto a green balcony, letting in plenty of natural light.

Private cinema room to sprawling balconyAmong the standout features is a dedicated cinema room built for private movie screenings. Farah was also struck by the separate, oversized bathrooms for men and women, remarking, “I have never seen this; it’s like a mini bedroom.” Exposed brick-style walls and curated artwork add character throughout the home.

The property also houses a lively game room complete with a pool table and table tennis setup, which opens onto a large balcony. The bedrooms follow a minimalist design theme and are notably spacious, while the kitchen stands out with striking blue cupboards that add a modern touch to the overall aesthetic.
