After the back-to-back success of ‘Karuppu’ and ‘Vishwanath And Sons’, Tamil superstar Suriya will next be seen in the upcoming cop action drama ‘Scene’, directed by Jithu Madhavan. The makers have officially announced the title of the film, which was earlier known as ‘Suriya 47’. They have also shared the first glimpse of the film and confirmed its theatrical release date.The makers shared a 1-minute-20-second teaser that opens with a voice-over saying, “You guys keep showcasing his talent to hide and mask his despicable character.” It then shows Suriya arriving at a crime scene dressed as a police officer.Suriya plays a character named Inbaraj in the film. In the teaser, he asks a constable, “Who killed whom?” The constable replies, “You are here to find that out,” to which he says, “Smart, aren’t you?”Another person describes Inbaraj as someone who sits on a chair, shows attitude and smokes, calling him a “psycho”.A jail warden also warns the prisoners about Inbaraj and says that suspects start behaving strangely when they see him.The teaser gives a glimpse of Suriya’s unusual police character. In one scene, he walks with his arm around a constable’s shoulder and tells him, “Take a good look at my face. To you, I might be the only cop to have ever arrested you. But to me, you are one among the 900-odd criminals I’ve locked up in prison.”
Suriya reveals ‘Scene’ release date
Suriya shared the title teaser on X and wrote, “Hi Dear All, Here’s a glimpse into #Scene. In cinemas from 6th Nov 2026. #Deepavali2026.”
‘Scene’ cast and crew
Speaking of the cast, Suriya plays the lead, while Nazriya Nazim is the female lead. Rising actor Naslen also has an important role, along with John Vijay and Anandaraj.The technical team includes cinematographer Vineeth Augustian, music composer Sushin Shyam, production designer Ashwini Kale, editor Ajmal Sabu and stunt choreographer Chethan D Souza.‘Scene’ went on floors with a traditional pooja ceremony in December last year and is now set to arrive in theatres worldwide on November 6, 2026, during the Deepavali festival. The film is expected to clash directly with Nitesh Tiwari’s grand mythological epic ‘Ramayana’, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita and Kannada star Yash as Ravana.
