500 CCTV cameras, multilayered security: How Delhi is turning fortress for Brics Summit
The National Capital, Delhi is all set for the BRICS Summit.

Delhi is all set for the Brics summit. The two day event is scheduled to be held at Bharat Mandapam starting from September 12 and will end on September 13. The proper arrangements have been made with elaborative security and traffic management for the three day international event.Brics banners and posters can be seen at several locations across the city. Connaught place, Khan Market and other prominent places can be seen with proper lighting during night hours.According to an ANI report, the proper security arrangements have been made by the authorities with over 500 CCTV cameras being installed across the city.“With these arrangements in place, we have covered all roads in the area. If we notice anything suspicious, we can take action within seconds and secure the entire area. If we find anything suspicious, we can easily connect with the people present there.” a security official said.Multilayered security systemMultilayered arrangements have also been made by the security agencies that includes surveillance system, traffic regulation measures and quick response mechanism. These arrangements will ensure smooth movement of guests and delegates during the brics summit. The Delhi Police commissioner chaired a security briefing ahead of the Brics Summit, during which special commissioners of Police and venue-in-charge officers outlined key operational points and salient features of security arrangements for their respective areas. The chairman focused on the Brics summit and he stressed that the event is being closely watched internationally and the Delhi Police personnnel will be under the scruity during the event.According to the Delhi commissioner, he directed all the security personnel to maintain the discipline, politeness and courtesy. This will ensure that every officer will take the ownership of their responsibilities and it will be ensured that all the duties will be done effectively.
