Amid Akshay Kumar‘s ‘Haiwaan’ raking in very poor numbers at the box office, a fan’s unusual open letter addressed to the actor has caught attention online after he announced he is stepping back from being part of the actor’s fandom. The fan insisted his affection for the star would remain unchanged. The note, shared on Sunday by a fan named Kapil, blends gratitude with a personal decision to prioritise his own wellbeing.
What the letter to Akshay Kumar said
Titled like a formal resignation, the note began, “Application for Leaving Fandom. Respected Akshay Kumar Sir, With a heavy heart but a clear mind, I am writing to inform you that I am stepping away from the fandom (sic).”Kapil clarified that his regard for Akshay hasn’t diminished, explaining that the move is about giving attention to his “own life, priorities and mental peace.” He added, “Going forward, I want to clearly say that in any negative situation, controversy or unwanted discussion related to you, I will not be part of it, and I have nothing to do with it.”The fan also expressed hope that Akshay continues to thrive, writing that the actor deserves nothing but love and happiness. He signed off on an emotional note, “Even though I am leaving the fandom, I am not leaving as a fan. I will always support you, stand by you and cheer for you in every step of your journey till my last breath. Thank you for everything, Sir. Always your well-wisher.”
