Are Yami Gautam Dhar and Aditya Dhar planning to move to Mandi, Himachal Pradesh permanently, leaving Mumbai behind? - Report

Aditya Dhar and his wife, actor Yami Gautam Dhar, are reportedly choosing a slower, more private way of living, far from Mumbai’s constant public gaze. The filmmaker and his wife appear drawn to calm and simplicity rather than the city’s relentless attention. For Yami, that pull leads straight to Himachal Pradesh, a place she has always considered far more than a holiday destination. Before she tied the knot, the actor bought a 100-year-old heritage home set on a 25-acre property in Gohar, Mandi. The estate has remained deeply woven into her family’s life and her childhood memories.

Aditya Dhar and Yami Gautam Dhar to make Himachal Pradesh their base – Report

According to the Free Press Journal, Yami Gautam and filmmaker Aditya Dhar have reportedly made Himachal Pradesh their permanent home.Crafted from wood and stone, the Himachal home is ringed by gardens that grow apples, plums, potatoes and ginger. The Dhars have reportedly chosen to keep the place understated instead of turning it into an elaborate celebrity retreat, a choice that matches their wish to stay out of the public eye whenever they aren’t busy with a film. However, the Bollywood couple hasn’t shared any official statement regarding this relocation.Further, although they may be one of Bollywood’s most recognisable couples, they tend to keep their private lives out of the headlines. Their public presence is mostly limited to film shoots, promotions and major industry events. Aditya has stayed notably low-key since ‘Dhurandhar’, with his recent outings centred on work. Earlier this year, the pair attended the National Film Awards in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, where both took home honours for ‘Article 370’: Aditya as producer and Yami for her lead role.

Where Yami Gautam Dhar and Aditya Dhar lived in Mumbai

Yami and Aditya’s home before the reported Himachal move was a roomy rented apartment in Khar West, Mumbai. While promoting the first ‘Dhurandhar’ film in late 2025, Aditya made light of the address, telling the audience, “My home is on Chitrakar Dhurandhar Marg,” in reference to the road where the couple lived. They had reportedly been tenants there for years, though it was later suggested that they might have bought the flat after the success of ‘Dhurandhar’.Since becoming parents, Yami and Aditya have placed even greater value on their privacy. The couple welcomed their son, Vedavid, in May 2024 and have consciously kept his face away from the public eye. Even when Yami posted a photo with Vedavid in September 2025, his face remained hidden.
