Mrunal Thakur has spoken up for Katrina Kaif and Kriti Sanon, who were recently trolled online. She said people should respect the choices of the two stars and remember what they have given to the film industry. Let’s learn more about it in detail.
Why Katrina Kaif and Kriti Sanon were trolled
Last month, some social media users targeted Katrina Kaif over her appearance and weight gain after the birth of her son, Vihaan. Earlier, Kriti Sanon was heavily criticised for her clothes in a jewellery brand advertisement shot around a traditional festival.
Mrunal Thakur’s reaction
Asked about women in the film industry facing public scrutiny over how they look and dress, Mrunal Thakur said she was unhappy with those judging the two actors. She told PTI, “It’s their life; it’s their choice, and everyone has a right to enjoy their phase of their life. And who are we? People who are judging all these iconic women, do we forget how amazing work (they have done) and the contribution towards the industry and business both of these women?”She added, “Be it Kriti and Katrina, they are running a business not just in India but everywhere in UK and all. I think people should not comment on anyone else. People are crazy; what else to say.”
Mrunal Thakur says, ‘Even men are judged’
Mrunal Thakur said women have always faced judgement but added that men are not spared either. “Women are always judged, and when are they not judged? But not just women; even men are judged,” she said.
