R Madhavan has expressed “gratitude and humility” after being named a Padma Shri awardee. Taking to Instagram, the actor dedicated the prestigious honour to his family, mentors, well-wishers and the public, acknowledging that their support and belief have been central to his journey.“I accept the Padma Shri with profound gratitude and humility. This honour, bestowed upon me, is beyond my wildest dreams, and I receive it on behalf of my entire family, whose constant support and faith have been my greatest strength,” Madhavan wrote, adding that the recognition was made possible by the blessings of his mentors, the goodwill of well-wishers, the love of the public and the grace of the Almighty.

Describing the award as a responsibility rather than just a recognition, the actor assured that he would uphold its values. “I consider this not just an award, but a responsibility. I promise to carry this honour with dignity, sincerity, and a deep sense of commitment to the values it represents,” he wrote, hoping to continue serving with integrity and humility in the years to come.
