The global superstar had a hilarious experience while she was kicking off the award show. For her kick-off performance, Sabrina was dressed as an airline pilot, with backup dancers dressed as all versions of a modern man. At one point, she reached into a magician’s hat and pulled a live bird out of it, which promptly flew away. At the end of the musical number, Sabrina held the dove again as she sat on top of an airplane on stage.The bird poop incident was revealed in a Grammys TikTok video, where the 6-year-old celebrated the performance with her team backstage and shouted, “It s–t on my hand!”

It was Sabrina’s second time performing at the Grammys stage, and she confidently persevered. Last February, when Sabrina bagged her first two Grammy wins, Sabrina still had the audience enjoying her performance even after inconveniences like wardrobe malfunctions and parts of the set falling apart. After Sabrina’s performance, host Trevor Noah said, “That was amazing and funny, which I didn’t appreciate.” He joked, “You’re gonna do funny too, Sabrina? Really? You’re just gonna take my job like that?”

Sabrina Carpenter told Vogue Italy in October 2025 that she enjoys funny moments. The singer said, “Part of life is making light of moments that maybe make us uncomfortable, or at least, that is for me. My whole life, I felt like humor…was usually just sort of a wit that kind of saved me. It was always there to make sure that at the end of the day, I was protecting myself for the future.”
