Ranveer Singh’s highly awaited big-screen return with ‘Dhurandhar’ is already generating buzz at the ticket windows. The film opened its advance bookings a week ahead of its slated release this weekend and is already recording good numbers.According to reports on Sacnilk, the Aditya Dhar directorial rolled out its bookings quietly in select theatre chains across major metros. The film then went on to have a wider launch across domestic theatres on Sunday evening. Despite the limited visibility, ‘Dhurandhar’ is picking up its pace, and the proof is in the box office numbers. Advance booking reportThe film has reportedly been allotted an estimated 2,241 shows thus far, across India for opening day. As per reports on Monday morning, ‘Dhurandhar’ has sold 8,654 tickets, collecting Rs 43.36 lakh in advance bookings.With blocked seats, the film has shown a higher collection, with the day-one advance tally currently standing at approximately Rs 1.97 crore.
State wise box office collection
In the state-wise breakdown, Maharashtra is driving the strongest response with Rs 48.34 lakh from 489 shows, topping the national tally. Delhi NCR follows closely behind at Rs 47.22 lakh across 295 shows. Gujarat ranks third with Rs 14.98 lakh from 291 shows, while Karnataka has posted Rs 13.29 lakh from 165 shows. Punjab rounds off the top five with Rs 9.45 lakh from 132 shows.
Runtime and rating
Set to hit theatres on 5 December, ‘Dhurandhar’ is one of Bollywood’s longest films at a runtime of 3 hours and 32 minutes. While the film has yet to receive its clearance by the Censor Board, its international rating has been set at 18+ with a disclaimer for ‘strong violence’.

The film’s official synopsis has also been circling the web. It reads, “A mysterious traveller infiltrates the Karachi mafia and becomes embroiled in a web of political corruption in this action thriller.”The ensemble cast includes R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, Sara Arjun and Rajat Bedi.
