Caleb McLaughlin talks about fan theories for ‘Stranger Things’
While talking to The Hollywood Reporter in a recent interview, McLaughlin weighed in on how, at first, he thought the theories of there being another season finale were “dumb.” He further detailed the matter and cited that it did not seem like a great concept; however, he understood where the fans were coming from. He further added, “I get that people want to live in this optimistic place of, ‘Oh, we want more Stranger Things,’ but the show is done, guys. I was like, ‘Guys, it’s over. It’s been 10 years. We were full-on kids, and now we’re full-on adults, and we don’t need any more of us.’”He further shared that a lot of people pointed out that the show was too optimistic. He detailed that if they had not gone for an optimistic ending to the show, it would not have been true to the actual theme of the show. “So if they left the show without that, we would have left Stranger Things without the true essence of what we’ve been representing forever.”
