It’s tim again to fetch the toys out of the box for another animated adventure with Disney and Pixar’s ‘Toy Story 5’. This time around, the toys are pitted against their latest challenge – technology. The trailer that dropped online, gives fans a glimpse of that upcoming instalment, featuring Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and the rest of the toys going up against their newest threat – a new tablet device named Lilypad.
‘Toy Story 5’ to see toys take on technology
With the dawn of the digital age, its the toys vs technology, as Lilypad, the tablet arrives with her own disruptive ideas about what is best for Bonnie, prompting the question, ‘Will playtime ever be the same?’The film’s trailer discription reads, “As the toys face the tech devices of today, it’s going to be all hands on deck with some familiar and all-new characters.”
Woody and Buzz ‘s reunion in ‘Toy Story 5’
The trailer also teases the long-awaited reunion between a much older and ‘bald’ Woody and Buzz after their emotional departure at the end of ‘Toy Story 4’. It remains to be seen how the sequel will address the toy’s separation and their ultimate reunion.

Returning to voice the beloved characters are Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, Joan Cusack as Jessie, Tony Hale as Forky, and Conan O’Brien as Smarty Pants.The ensemble cast includes franchise veterans like John Ratzenberger as Hamm, Wallace Shawn as Rex, Blake Clark as Slinky Dog, Jeff Bergman as Mr. Potato Head, Anna Vocino as Mrs. Potato Head, Annie Potts as Bo Peep, Bonnie Hunt as Dolly, Melissa Villaseñor as Karen Beverly, John Hopkins as Mr. Pricklepants, Kristen Schaal as Trixie, Ernie Hudson as Combat Carl, and Keanu Reeves as Duke Caboom.New additions to the franchise include Craig Robinson as Atlas, a cheerful GPS hippo toy; Shelby Rabara as the excitable camera toy Snappy; Scarlett Spears as Bonnie; Mykal-Michelle Harris as Blaze; and Matty Matheson as Dr. Nutcase, a toy wary of technology.
