A bond beyond separation

Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane met in 2003 and married in Las Vegas less than a year later. They separated in 2018, but their divorce was never finalized.In a December 2025 essay for The Cut, Rebecca Gayheart explained, “There are times that shifts aren’t covered, so I cover them. There was a 12-hour shift recently that I could not cover. I could only do four hours because of all the stuff that the kids are doing.” On the Broad Ideas podcast in November 2025, she told her daughters, Billie Beatrice Dane and Georgia Geraldine Dane, “He is our family. He is your father.
