Janhvi Kapoor celebrates her 29th birthday today, March 6, 2026. The ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ actress ringed in the special day with a deeply spiritual 11-kilometer trek to the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh. Continuing her annual tradition, the ‘Param Sundari’ actress undertook the arduous journey from the Alipiri footpath, climbing over 3,500 steps barefoot as a mark of devotion.

Accompanied by her aunt, actress Maheswari, Janhvi arrived at the hill shrine in the early hours of the morning. Dressed in a simple traditional outfit, she completed the VIP Break Darshan and received blessings from Vedic scholars at the Ranganayakula Mandapam. Despite the physical toll of the climb, the ‘Homebound’ actress graciously interacted with fellow devotees and even posed for selfies before heading back.

Janhvi Kapoor’s work slate

On the work front, the ‘Ulajh’ actress has a major project lined up in the Telugu film industry. The actress will soon be seen sharing screen space with Ram Charan in the film ‘Peddi’. The film is written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana. It features an impressive cast that includes Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma and Jagapathi Babu in important roles.‘Peddi’ is currently one of the most anticipated upcoming Telugu films. The makers have scheduled the film for a theatrical release on April 30. Janhvi Kapoor recently debuted in Telugu cinema with the film ‘Devara’ starring Jr NTR in the lead role. In ETimes review we noted, “Janhvi Kapoor, as Thangam, gets a limited role and appears in a couple of songs, which is a letdown. Her character’s childhood presence in the first half could have been better incorporated into the second half.”The film received mixed reactions from audiences and critics. However, she is set to make up for it with ‘Peddi’. Unlike her brief appearance as Thangam in ‘Devara Part 1,’ Kapoor’s role as Achiyyamma in ‘Peddi’ is expected to have more screen time and emotional depth.
