In a recent development, acclaimed vocalist Sia has reached a child support agreement with her estranged spouse, Daniel Bernard, committing to a monthly payment of $42,500. The arrangement also encompasses tuition for private schooling, extracurricular activities, and healthcare expenses for their son, Somersault.

Famed musician Sia and her estranged husband Daniel Bernard have come to a settlement regarding their child support. As per the latest report, the two have reached an official agreement, and Sia has agreed from her end to pay child support to Bernard every month.

PEOPLE reported that on April 6, the settlement was filed with the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Sia has agreed to officially pay USD 42,500 in child support to her estranged husband. The two have one child, Somersault Wonder Bernad, who stays with Bernard.On top of the monthly payment, Sia will also be overseeing private school tuition payments, extracurricular activities, and uninsured healthcare. She will also have to be responsible for their son’s health insurance as well. As per the court orders, she is also required to either set up a USD 5 million life insurance policy for their son, or a trust to ensure that he has support in the matter if she passes away before he becomes an adult. The payments will continue up until the day Somersault turns 18, starting from April 1.

Sia and Daniel Bernard share joint custody

The estranged couple shares joint custody of their son, with weekdays and weekends falling on Bernard, and the overall holidays divided between the two of them. Bernard will have Father’s Day and sme days of Hanukkah, while their son will stay with Sia for Mother’s Day, Easter, and Christmas. The couple had gotten married in 2022, though they filed for divorce last year in March. Months later, Bernard filed another case seeking sole custody of Somersault, calling Sia “an unfit and unreliable parent struggling with substance abuse and addiction.”
