The promotions for global star Ram Charan’s highly anticipated rustic sports-drama ‘Peddi’ have shifted into maximum gear just 24 hours ahead of its massive theatrical trailer drop. To send anticipation through the roof, director Buchi Babu Sana and the makers unveiled the terrifyingly rugged first look of veteran actor Jagapathi Babu as his on-screen persona, Appalasoori. Billed as a pivotal pillar “rooted in emotion and driven by purpose,” this fierce reveal sets the perfect stage for the film’s grand trailer launch event scheduled to take over Mumbai on May 18, keeping fans on high alert for a three-minute spectacle of mass elevation.

The makers shared a striking poster and a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Jagapathi Babu in character. The rugged look immediately caught the attention of fans. ‘Peddi’ trailer to release on May 18
The official trailer will launch on May 18. Fans are expecting a major glimpse into Ram Charan’s transformation and the world of the film. ‘Peddi’ features Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead alongside Ram Charan. The supporting cast includes Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma and Boman Irani. The film is directed by Buchi Babu Sana and the music is composed by A. R. Rahman.
‘Peddi’ pre-sales cross USD 300K in North America
The first single, “Chikiri Chikiri,” has become one of the biggest talking points of the campaign. The song reportedly crossed 200 million views across platforms. According to reports cited by 123Telugu, North American premiere pre-sales have already crossed USD 300,000. Peddi is scheduled for a worldwide release on June 4, 2026.Meanwhile, ‘Peddi’ is expected to mark a grand comeback of Ram Charan as his previous film with Shankar, ‘Game Changer,’ failed to impress audiences. ‘Game Changer’ was criticised for its story and performances. ‘Game Changer’s story was written by ‘Petta’ director Karthik Subbaraj.
