Tovino Thomas-starrer ‘Athiradi’ continues to hold its ground at the box office despite facing intense competition from Mohanlal’s blockbuster ‘Drishyam 3’. The film recorded a healthy jump on its second Saturday.According to Sacnilk, ‘Athiradi’ collected Rs 1.34 crore net in India on Day 10. The figure marks a 41.1 percent increase from the Rs 95 lakhs net earned on Day 9. The film was screened across 849 shows on Saturday.

Worldwide collection touches Rs 59.06 crore

‘Athiradi’s total India net collection has reached Rs 30.44 crore. The India gross collection now stands at Rs 35.31 crore after ten days in theatres. The overseas market has also played a major role in the film’s performance. Athiradi has grossed Rs 23.75 crore from international territories so far. The film’s worldwide gross collection has climbed to Rs 59.06 crore.The movie had collected Rs 28.15 crore net during its first week. After earning Rs 1.08 crore on Day 8 and Rs 95 lakhs on Day 9, the second Saturday growth has provided fresh momentum for the coming days.

Occupancy improves through the day

‘Athiradi’ recorded an overall Malayalam occupancy of 36.51 percent on Day 10.Morning shows registered an occupancy of 18.58 percent. The numbers improved during afternoon and evening shows which recorded 31.75 percent and 36.08 percent occupancy respectively.Night shows emerged as the strongest segment of the day with an impressive occupancy of 55 percent. Kerala contributed Rs 1.25 crore gross out of the film’s total Day 10 gross collection of Rs 1.48 crore.Karnataka added Rs 12 lakhs while Tamil Nadu generated Rs 7 lakhs. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana contributed Rs 1 lakh and the rest of India accounted for Rs 3 lakhs.
