He took to his social media to share a video of himself sitting in a private jet along with his two sons, Liam and Alastair, as he travelled to Boston in order to attend the FIFA World Cup.He posted the video on his account along with the caption, “Me and the boys off to Boston to see our Scotland in the World Cup! No Scotland no party.” Further on, in the video as he posed along with his sons, Stewart stated: “It’s been 28 years so these kids, I’ve told them about it, but they’ve never been, I’ve been to seven World Cups.”Not only that, but photos and videos of the famed singer were also circulated online as he happily cheered for the Scotland team as they won their respective match against Haiti. However, many people criticized Stewart for cancelling his concert, which was originally planned to be held on June 12.

At the time, fans had wished him well and told him to recover soon. However, due to his recent actions, many people called him out for his behaviour and flooded his comment sections.One person explained, “Mr. Rod Stewart, you cancelled the concert at Chula Vista at the last minute, claiming acute respiratory infection and laryngitis. Hundreds, perhaps thousands of ticket holders were at the parking entrance when they were turned away.” They further claimed that many fans had driven and flew in from different spaces in order to see him, but were extremely disappointed by the last minute news.Another person shared, “My 3 sons took my 82 year mother out of her nursing facility and drove to San Diego last night.
