Rainn Wilson, who is best known for leading one of the most beloved sitcoms, The Office’, recently weighed in on the themes of the show. During one of his latest appearances, the actor admitted that he believes the show never would have worked if it were released in today’s day and age.Read ahead to know more about what he had to share.

While in conversation with Fox News Digital, Wilson opened up about his biggest project to date, ‘The Office.’ While talking about the spinoff series ‘The Paper’ which is currently in its production stages for the second season, the actor shared that if his series was made in today’s and age, people would not react to it in a positive way.He added during the interview that “I do feel like you couldn’t make The Office today. I think that would be too hard to be as politically incorrect as the show was. I think there has been a bias in the media, towards more, what we call, liberal policies.”He further shared that he misses that era of his life sometimes. He added, “We milked that for a lot of great, really inappropriate stuff, but even with the fact that painting that character as just an idiot, I don’t think you could get away with it today.”
