Alec Baldwin has quite the experience in parenting as he and his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, share 7 children. In a recent interview, while getting candid about his life as a father, the ‘Mission: Impossible: Rogue Nation’ actor opened up about how it being a father to 7 children, and what kind of values he tries to instill in them.

Baldwin recently attended the premiere for ‘Gaslit’ on June 12, where he stopped for a conversation with E! News. During the interview, he was asked about his children, the actor could not stop gushing about them.On top of that, during the interview, Baldwin revealed that he tries his level best to instill hope in his children’s minds as a way of parenting. He added that, “I want my kids to grow up having hope because right now it’s more hopeless than I’ve ever seen.”Further on, he also talked about how important it is to ensure that your kids know that it is important to keep fighting and not give up, regardless of what happens. He adds, “We’ve got to continue to fight to prove to our children that you got to keep fighting. You got to have hope, and you got to keep fighting to take the reins of power in our society, and that responsibility—that awesome responsibility—away from people who are going to abuse it.” Alec Baldwin has a total of 8 children. His eldest daughter, Ireland, who is 30 years old, is shared with his ex-wife, Kim Basinger. His other 7 children with Hilaria include Carmen, who is 12, Rafael, whose 10 years old, Leonardo, who is 9 right now, Romeo, who is 8, Eduardo, who is only 5 years old, Maria Lucia, who is also 5, and their youngest, Ilaria, who is 3 years old.

The actor, later on in the interview, even joked about how, before, he used to tell his children that he wanted them to grow strong so that they could push his wheelchair when he’s old. He quipped that ‘I want you guys to work out and get strong because you’re going to be pushing the old man in my chair before long.’”Over the years, Baldwin has been quite open about his plight as an older father, and has often commented about how he just needs more time with his children.
