The famous 1980s band Australian Crawl sent waves across the music industry with their songs. Known as one of the most popular music groups of the time, Australian Crawl sold out stadiums and even sold millions of copies of their records. Their breakup in 1986 hit the industry hard as fans wondered if they would ever get to see their favourite band perform again. Now, as per the latest reports, the group is officially getting back together for a reunion concert!Here is what we know so far about this.
Australian Crawl to reunite after 40 years
It has been around 40 years since all of the remaining members of Australian Crawl got back up on stage to perform some of their hit songs. However, the group has officially confirmed that they will be meeting and performing together on stage.Original frontman James Reyne, along with guitarist Simon Binks and drummer David Reyne, will be reuniting on stage for the first time in 40 years for a performance at the upcoming Red Hot Summer Tour. The annual traveling music festival will also see some of the biggest names in the industry join the line up. While it is not possible to get the entire group together, former Crawl member John Watson will also be joining the band all over again for this special performance.Not only that, but they will also be joined by Men at Work, another iconic and legendary band in the industry. Some of the other line-ups include Vika & Linda, Boom Crash Opera, Birds of Tokyo, along with Eskimo Joe and Ella Hooper.

Specialized pre-sales will go live on June 22, while normal pre-sale tickets will go live a day later on June 23.The group was originally formed in 1978 in the Mornington Peninsula. They started off with small gigs and had their first concert around the same time. While they were together for only 8 years, they managed to release some of the biggest hits. They include ‘Reckless’, ‘The Boys Light Up’, and ‘Beautiful People’ to name a few.
