‘Dhurandhar’ actress Ayesha Khan, who was recently detained by the Mumbai Police for allegedly participating in the NEET paper leak protest, has reacted to the latest political development. Following Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, which was submitted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi today (July 25), the actress voiced her support for the move. Taking to social media, Ayesha shared a screenshot of the news and celebrated the development, calling it a major victory.

Sharing the update on her Instagram stories, Ayesha Khan wrote, “We are half way there.” She also described the resignation as a “good sign” In a long note, she celebrated the big victory and wrote, “Let’s now hope that adequate compensation is made to the victim families, though nothing in this world can compensate for one’s personal loss.” She also called for accountability over the way peaceful protesters were treated. She urged people not to overlook what she described as the unjust FIRs filed against the students, stressing that the issue should not be forgotten.

Ayesha further added, “And let’s hope for accountability towards the peaceful protesters. These are the exact young minds all of us were fighting for. Let’s not forget that these FIRs are not fair.” She concluded her post by writing, “This phase of our country will always be a part of my core memory. So much that we all have learnt in the process. In another video, she was seen being escorted by women police personnel while repeatedly questioning the reason for her detention. Through a series of social media posts, Ayesha also criticised the Mumbai Police over their handling of the protest.
