Rahane’s retirement brings an end to a career spanning 85 Tests, 90 ODIs and 20 T20Is for India, along with 212 IPL appearances across six teams. He is best remembered for leading India to a historic Border-Gavaskar Trophy series win in Australia in 2020-21.
