‘Pathira Kurukkan’ announced: ‘In Harihar Nagar’ gang reunites; Jagadish-Mukesh-Siddique-Ashokan return in a comedy entertainer

Malayalam cinema’s beloved quartet of Jagadish, Mukesh, Siddique and Ashokan is all set to reunite on the big screen.The actors, who became fan favourites through the iconic ‘In Harihar Nagar’ franchise and several other films together, are returning after a 16-year gap with ‘Pathira Kurukkan’.Directed by Jayesh Venugopal, the film is scheduled to release in theatres this September.

The iconic quartet reunites

For Malayalam cinema fans, the combination of Jagadish, Mukesh, Siddique and Ashokan brings back memories of some of the industry’s most popular comedy entertainers including ‘In Harihar Nagar’, ‘To Harihar Nagar’ and ‘In Ghost House Inn’ which earned them a loyal fan following over the years.‘Pathira Kurukkan’ is produced by Sijo George under the Appay Cinemas banner. ‘Pathira Kurukkan’ revolves around four individuals from different backgrounds whose lives unexpectedly become interconnected. A series of unforeseen incidents leads them into humorous and entertaining situations. Actor Indrans also plays a pivotal role in the film.

Experienced technical crew

Cinematography has been handled by Selvakumar S., while Gopi Sundar has composed the music. The editing is by Atul Vijay, and the production design has been overseen by Thyagu Thavanur. Sunil Karma and Nikhil Jinan wrote the screenplay.Rajesh Nenmara is in charge of makeup, while Sukesh Thanur has designed the costumes. The action sequences have been choreographed by Ashraf Gurukkal and Vinod Prabhakar, with Sree Selvi handling the choreography.

Nasser, Seby Pindyan, Sunil Kiralur, Ranjith Chelavoor, Sujeesh S., Saifudheen Vettathoor, Christy Bennet, Ancy Linu, Deepa Suresh and Sini Krishnan in important roles.
