Huma Qureshi has been in the news recently for both her personal and professional life. While she stepped into production with ‘Baby Do Die Do’, which released alongside Alia Bhatt’s ‘Alpha’, her frequent appearances with actor and acting coach Rachit Singh have sparked wedding rumours. Addressing the speculation, the actor made it clear that marriage is not on her immediate agenda.
Huma Qureshi addresses rumours of marriage
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Huma Qureshi responded to questions about her wedding plans. The actress said, “You and my mum have the same questions! I don’t have an answer to when the wedding is going to happen. Shaadi jab honi hogi tab ho jayegi; I have a lot of work to do. This is a very busy year and, right now, I am just focusing on that.”

Speaking about her decision to produce a film, Huma Qureshi called it a high-risk, high-reward move. She said it was exciting to become “the creator and keeper of your IP,” adding that every creative person should try producing at least once to understand the process fully.She explained that while an actor’s job is largely limited to performing on camera, a producer has to manage everything that goes into making a project, including handling difficult temperaments on set. Calling it a humbling experience, she said it taught her the value of time, money and professionalism, while acknowledging the risks involved remain considerable.
Huma Qureshi reveals why she chose to create her own opportunities
In the same conversation, Huma Qureshi said that as actors, she and her brother Saqib Saleem are dependent on others for work, but neither of them likes to play the victim over missed roles. She said their only option was to create their own opportunities, which led to the founding of their production banner, Saleem Siblings.She added that not every story requires a massive budget, saying some films can be engaging even with a fraction of the cost typically associated with big-budget projects. She also noted that ‘Baby Do Die Do’ is now in its fifth weekend and continues to get shows across the country.
