Audience reactions praise the film

Several early reactions on X have praised the film’s action, performances and treatment. One X user praised Arun Matheswaran’s direction and wrote, “Arun Matheashwaran is the real show-stealer. Despite the low expectations after his previous outing, I always wondered why someone as talented as him hadn’t achieved bigger success. With DC, he has proved that he belongs among the top league of directors.”Another viewer praised the screenplay and music while highlighting Lokesh’s performance. The review read, “#DC was totally unexpected! Arun Matheswaran cooked up a racy screenplay—this is the first film of his that I’ve actually liked. Lokesh gave an outstanding performance, but Anirudh completely stole the show. The one and only #anirudh took this movie to the next level! #dcmovie.”

Mixed reaction to writing

Not every reaction was entirely positive. Another viewer described the film as a decent action drama while pointing out flaws in its writing. The review read, “#DC Decent Action Drama Despite Its Writing Flaws!Raw and grounded with a fairly engaging first half despite a regular, generic storyline. Film does feel slow in places, and the second half starts to get repetitive after a while. However, 4-5 blocks work really well across the film, and the neatly wrapped-up climax works in its favor. Writing around Loki’s gang could’ve been stronger, especially their backstories and motives.”‘DC’ features Lokesh Kanagaraj, Wamiqa Gabbi and Sanjana Krishnamoorthy in key roles. Arun Matheswaran has directed the film, while Anirudh Ravichander has composed its music.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers and the data in this article are compiled from public and industry sources.
