The incident took place in the City Kotwali area. Reportedly Ankit Baliyan had completed his workout and was walking towards his Scorpio SUV when the attack took place.TOI City reports stated that two motorcycles arrived at the location. The assailants allegedly opened fire at Ankit Baliyan before fleeing from the spot. Around 18 rounds were reportedly fired during the attack. Ankit Baliyan sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to a nearby hospital. However, doctors declared him dead.
