Ravi Teja‘s ‘Irumudi’ has maintained a strong position at the box office during its opening week. The film has already crossed Rs 90 crore in India net collections. Its worldwide earnings have also moved beyond the Rs 120 crore mark.The latest figures come amid a controversy over theatre allocations in the Telugu states. ‘Irumudi’ earns Rs 6.90 Cr on Day 7
According to Sacnilk, ‘Irumudi’ recorded an estimated India net collection of Rs 6.90 crore on Day 7. The film had 2,400 shows on its first Thursday.Its cumulative India net collection has reached Rs 92.15 crore. The total India gross collection currently stands at Rs 106.95 crore.The film earned Rs 65 lakhs in overseas gross collections on Day 7. Its overseas total has reached Rs 17.90 crore. The worldwide gross collection now stands at Rs 124.85 crore.However, the Day 7 figure was lower than the previous day’s earnings. ‘Irumudi’ had collected Rs 10.20 crore net on Day 6. The latest figure represents a 32.4% decline.
Telugu version drives first-week collections
The Telugu version has remained the primary contributor to the film’s theatrical earnings. On Day 7, it collected Rs 6.89 crore net from 2,358 shows.The version recorded an overall occupancy of 55%. Night shows registered the highest occupancy at 66.23%. Evening shows followed with 55.54%.Afternoon shows recorded 43.15% occupancy. Morning shows registered 34.62%. The Tamil version earned Rs 1 lakh from 42 shows. Its overall occupancy stood at 16%.
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana lead
‘Irumudi’ recorded an India gross collection of Rs 8.05 crore on Day 7. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana remained the biggest contributors.The two states generated Rs 7.25 crore in gross collections. Karnataka added Rs 60 lakhs. Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 8 lakhs. The rest of India accounted for Rs 12 lakhs.
‘Toxic’ theatre allocation triggers reaction
The box office performance of ‘Irumudi’ has coincided with a dispute over theatre availability. Several reports claimed that theatres showing Ravi Teja’s film were reassigned to Yash’s ‘Toxic’.Producer-distributor Dil Raju has faced criticism over the reported allocation. Producer-distributor Natti Kumar has also questioned the decision. He described the reported theatre distribution as “unfair”.According to Natti Kumar, nearly 250 theatres across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were allocated to ‘Toxic’. He claimed that this came at the expense of ‘Irumudi’.

Natti Kumar has also shared details about audience reactions to the theatre changes.As quoted by Deccan Chronicle, “In a theatre in Mahbubnagar, audiences raised slogans and forced the management to screen Irumudi instead of Toxic,” says producer-distributor Natti Kumar.He further claimed that around 30 theatres had restored ‘Irumudi’ by late evening. According to him, more than 100 theatres could bring the film back over the next few days.Natti Kumar attributed the possible restoration to a decline in ‘Toxic’ collections.
