In a conversation with India Today, Priyadarshan was asked what audiences could expect from Akshay Kumar’s character in the film. Keeping his response brief, the director said, “It is going to be very, very interesting; I am making him play a hunter.”While Priyadarshan did not reveal further details about the character or the film’s plot, this marks the first official hint about Akshay’s role in the project.

The yet-to-be-officially-titled comedy thriller is reportedly called ‘Wicked Sunny’, though the makers have yet to confirm the title. Backed by Ramesh Taurani’s production house, the project is expected to go on floors in December 2026.

The upcoming film will add another chapter to Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan’s enduring collaboration.
