She opened up about how the biopic is still in its early stages of development; however, she is excitedly ready to give the world a look into what she has been working on.

The 44-year-old screenwriter, best known for her work on ‘New Girl,’ recently sat down for an interview with Vanity Fair. She confirmed that the biopic film is currently under wraps and is in its early stages of production and development. He added, “I’m really at the beginning of the process of thinking about it. But I do feel like what she experienced was pretty unique for the moment that it was happening, almost a perfect storm of attention and new forms of media.”Britney Spears’ life has been quite tumultuous. Aside from being in the career since a young age and struggling with drug and alcohol abuse, the singer also had a conservatorship where her father had complete control of all of her assets and what she was and was not allowed to do.Her memoir, ‘The Woman in Me,’ published in 2023, offers an all-out expose of her life, detailing all the hardships she went through. This also included excerpts from her life before and after stardom, along with some serious allegations against her ex-husband, Kevin Federline.It is now serving as an inspiration for the film, with Jon M. Chu confirmed and all set to direct the adaptation. In another interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the screenwriter opened up about the book and shared that she has read it and even listened to the audiobook. Talking about it, she shared, “That audiobook, if people haven’t listened to it, is one of the best audiobooks that’s ever been made. Michelle is unbelievable. It’s like a monologue. I told her that her performance of the audiobook broke my heart in so many ways.”She added, “I’ve been listening to a lot of music that was happening around the time that she was making music. That’s out of necessity. I want to just get the feeling that moment in time or just remind myself.”No other details about when the project will go into development have been shared online.
