Kim Ji Won, who last appeared as an heiress in ‘Queen of Tears,’ is ready to wear a doctor’s coat for her new role in ‘Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia.’ The medical noir drama is based on the Japanese drama ‘Doctor-X: Surgeon Michiko Daimon’ and follows the story of Gye Su-jeong, a brilliant and bold surgeon. She is well known for her precise surgical skills and has established a name for herself in the industry. She uses her skills for good in a world completely overrun and ruled by corruption and bureaucracy. She takes on cases that people are afraid of, exposing the truth and corruption behind Gu Seo University Hospital.Soompi reported that the production team was impressed with the cast members’ chemistry even though it was their first time working together. The statement read: “Despite it being their first time working together, the actors’ solid acting skills and engaging character portrayals brought the immersion to its peak during the script reading.”The upcoming drama is written by Pyeon Seong-geun, while Lee Jung-rim is the director.
