Ravi Teja’s ‘Irumudi’ continued its strong theatrical run on its third Friday. The film collected an estimated Rs 4.65 Cr in India net on Day 15. The earnings came from 1,939 shows. The latest figure has pushed the movie’s India net collection to Rs 154.40 Cr. Its India gross currently stands at Rs 179.40 Cr. The film has also officially crossed the Rs 150 Cr net milestone in the domestic market.
‘Irumudi’ sees 29.2% rise on Day 15
The third Friday brought a healthy increase in collections for ‘Irumudi’. The Ravi Teja starrer had earned Rs 3.60 Cr in India net on Day 14. Its Day 15 earnings of Rs 4.65 Cr represent a 29.2% growth. The film recorded 46.6% occupancy across 1,939 shows. This marked an improvement from the 33.6% occupancy recorded on the previous day.‘Irumudi’ ended its first week with Rs 92.15 Cr. The second week added another Rs 57.60 Cr. The two-week India net total therefore reached Rs 149.75 Cr.
Worldwide gross crosses Rs 200 Cr
‘Irumudi’ earned Rs 10 lakhs from international markets on Day 15. The cumulative overseas gross has now reached Rs 21.90 Cr. With its domestic earnings added, the film’s worldwide gross collection stands at Rs 201.30 Cr. The movie had a strong first week at the box office. On Day 7, which was its first Thursday, it earned Rs 6.90 Cr from 2,400 shows. The occupancy for the day stood at 54.3%. The second Thursday saw the collection drop to Rs 3.60 Cr. Telugu version dominates Day 15
The Telugu version accounted for almost the entire India net collection of ‘Irumudi’ on Day 15. It earned Rs 4.64 Cr from 1,917 shows. The occupancy stood at 47.0%. The Tamil version contributed Rs 1 lakh from 22 shows. It recorded 11.0% occupancy. The Telugu 2D version had an overall occupancy of 42.43%. Morning shows recorded 26.23%. Afternoon occupancy climbed to 46.38%. Evening shows registered 48.23%. Night screenings recorded 45.54%.
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana drive gross
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana remained the biggest contributors to the film’s state-wise gross collection. The combined market generated Rs 5.00 Cr on Day 15. Karnataka contributed Rs 30 lakhs. Tamil Nadu added Rs 3 lakhs. The rest of India accounted for another Rs 7 lakhs. The total gross across the listed markets stood at Rs 5.40 Cr. The film has now crossed Rs 150 Cr in India net after 15 days.
‘Romanchakam’ records 16% decline on Day 2
Meanwhile, Sumanth Prabhas’ ‘Romanchakam’ is still in the early phase of its theatrical run. The film collected Rs 1.26 Cr in India net on Day 2. The earnings came from 951 shows. Its cumulative India net collection has reached Rs 2.76 Cr. The India gross currently stands at Rs 3.22 Cr.The second-day collection represents a 16.0% decline from the opening day. ‘Romanchakam’ had earned Rs 1.50 Cr from 1,210 shows on Day 1. Despite the drop in earnings, occupancy improved slightly. Day 2 recorded 30.0% occupancy, compared with 29.0% on Day 1.The Telugu 2D version registered 28.88% overall occupancy. Morning shows recorded 21.00%. Afternoon occupancy stood at 25.77%.
