New behind-the-scenes photos from the set of ‘The Batman: Part II’ have given fans a fresh new look at Robert Pattinson‘s upgraded Batsuit!The actor was back on the film set, with his stealth gear, diving into action scenes. While filming a chase scene on a bike and other hand-to-hand combat scenes, a major new detail in his costume had fans buzzing on social media.

‘The Batman‘ gets an upgrade

Pattinson’s updated suit appears to feature longer cowl ears, darker and shinier armour, and redesigned shoulder pads. The costume also featured a yellow tactical utility belt, a nod to the classic comic books. The refinements have already sparked excitement among fans, with many praising director Matt Reeves for evolving Batman’s appearance while retaining the aesthetic of the 2022 film.

Videos from the set also show Pattinson’s Batman ramping over vehicles and the police. It is unclear if the superhero’s story will now see him working with the GCPD or if it will find him in the crosshairs, locking horns with the police. A previous leak from the sets, saw the police firing guns at the Batman as he tride to escape in his Batmobile.

Intimacy coordinator added to ‘The Batman: Part II’

According to reports, production has also added intimacy coordinator David Thackeray. While his involvement does not reveal specific details, the appointment has prompted speculation that ‘The Batman: Part II’ could explore a more intimate side of Bruce Wayne’s life alongside. The film also features Scarlett Johansson, rumoured to be in the role of Poison Ivy. However, other contradictory reports claim she could also star opposite Sebastian Stan’s Harvey Dent as his love interest.

The film will see Pattinson returning as Bruce Wayne/Batman, with Jeffrey Wright reprising his role as James Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin.Directed by Reeves, ‘The Batman: Part II’ is currently scheduled to hit theatres on February 18, 2028.
