Shiv Sena Chief Leader and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on NDA allaince in Goa

NEW DELHI: Maharashtra deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde on Monday said the strategy of the BJP and Shiv Sena for the upcoming Goa Assembly elections was yet to be decided, while stressing that the two parties share the same ideology.Speaking about the NDA alliance, Shinde said the Shiv Sena is part of the NDA in Maharashtra and Delhi, and maintained that the BJP and Shiv Sena are “two parties with the same ideology”.“We are in alliance in the NDA in Maharashtra, Delhi… BJP and Shiv Sena are two parties with the same ideology. Strategy on Goa elections is yet to be decided,” Shinde said.The remarks come amid discussions over the Shiv Sena’s electoral plans in Goa. The party has previously indicated that its alliance with the NDA in Maharashtra does not automatically determine its strategy in Goa.Goa is scheduled to go to Assembly polls in 2027, with the 40-member House currently led by the BJP.
