Goods train derails in J&K’s Kathua, no injury or damages

JAMMU: A goods train derailed at Chann Aroria railway station in J&K’s Kathua district on Wednesday morning. Officials said no one was hurt and no damage was incurred in the incident.The derailment occurred around 9.30am when the goods train was heading back after unloading cement, and one of its coaches went off the track in the station’s yard, officials said. A technical team from Kathua rushed to the spot and brought the derailed coach back on track after two hours of efforts.Earlier on July 10, two bogies of a goods train moving from Jammu to Punjab derailed near Lakhanpur in Kathua after debris fell on the tracks following a rain-triggered landslide.
