Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid tributes to the victims of the 9/11 terror attacks in the United States. He remembered the horrific attack happened in September 2001.PM Modi posted on twitter that while the terror threat keeps evolving, India’s resolve and opposition to combating terrorism in all of its forms and manifestations is unshakable.Terrorism has taken many lives worldwide and that, as a victim of cross border terrorism, India has been in the forefront of this struggle for many years, PM Modi said.“We stand in solidarity with all efforts to combat this scourge,” the prime minister stated.He added that 25 years after the terrible 9/11 events, India honors and commemorates the victims, and stands in sympathy with the families, whose lives were irrevocably altered on that day.

“Numerous lives have been lost to terrorism worldwide. India has been at the vanguard of this struggle for numerous decades as a victim of cross-border terrorism,” PM Modi stated.

On September 11, 2001, terrorists took control of four airplanes in a well-planned operation, flying three of them into the World Trade Center’s twin towers in New York. In a remote area of Pennsylvania, they brought down the fourth aircraft. 2,976 people were murdered and many more were injured in the assaults.
