Rashmika Mandanna will be seen opposite her husband Vijay Deverakonda in the upcoming period action drama, ‘Ranabaali’. The makers have officially announced that Rashmika has completed shooting for the film, marking the wrap of her character Jayamma. The actress returned to the sets after recovering from a hip injury and has now finished her part in the film.

In the video, Rashmika Mandanna can be seen in Jayamma’s traditional look. Her character also appears to be pregnant. She later waves at the camera before hugging director Rahul Sankrityan. Vijay Deverakonda then joins her and gives her a hug.

The hug between Vijay and Rashmika received a lot of love from fans. Several users reacted to the video and praised the couple. Teaser of ‘Ranabaali’
The makers recently released the teaser of Ranabaali, giving a glimpse into its story. The film is set during the Madras Famine of 1876–1878, one of the darkest periods in Indian history.Vijay Deverakonda plays the titular character Ranabaali, a Telugu man from Rayalaseema who rises against the British. Rashmika plays Jayamma, his wife and partner in his struggle.
Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo joins the cast
Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo, known for playing Imhotep in The Mummy, plays Sir Theodore Hector, an English oppressor.Ranabaali is planned as a major festive release around the pre-Dussehra weekend. The film will be released in theatres on October 16, 2026.It will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
